Little Miranda and Snow

Brian went out to the Riverhouse to pick up my mom and dad and brought them to town for dinner, which was a real treat for all of us.
I wanted to take a picture of the snow falling, but still haven't figured that technique out yet. I could only get a picture with the tree in it.

It was a very peaceful drive.
On Saturday night we got to babysit Miranda, the sweetest baby in the world.
Here she is laying on the carpet because she liked moving her fingers through it.
Then we gave her a Santa hat and she played with it.
Kylee loves to watch Miranda too.
Miranda thinks Kylee is fun.
She always talks up a storm when she is with her.
Miranda loves to run her fingers through peoples hair (tug).

I wanted to see what she would do if I gave her a present and she really enjoyed it.
She would open it, taste it, and grab at it after if got away from her.

Then it was time for a new outfit. Isn't this a pretty little dress?
She is such a little girl. Look at these cute little crossed ankles.

Miranda liked the presents, the tree, and this candy cane.

Then she took a "cheerio" break...

before going out to play in the snow. We quickly found out that she isn't ready for snow yet.
We plopped her down and she said, "NO WAY".
So we headed back in to take some more pictures, with hair accessories, to make sure her sister sees that she is a girly girl.

A couple more of my favorites and then I'll stop (for now).

Celebration & Santa

Wow! Life is good. I had the best week ever!
On Monday four of my friends and I learned that we were awarded a grant from Qwest in the amount of $7,400 to go toward some new technology at our school.

Then a few days later I learned that I was also awarded another grant from Wildhorse in the amount of $7,602 to go towards more technology for our school. With these grants we will be a very "high tech" school. I can't wait to see what kinds of great things come of this opportunity.

Then I went to work the next day and my fabulous friends surprised me with these beautiful flowers. See what I mean by it being the best week ever?

Then Saturday rolled around and I got to be the photographer for "Pictures with Santa" at the Family Activity Day (Festival of Trees). Kylee helped out too and even posed with Santa.June is in charge of this event and she swung by to see Santa too.
In four hours of non stop picture taking only a handful of kids cried.
This little boy was fine until his mom set him on Santa's lap. The mom knew he was going to react this way and asked me to snap the shot anyway. Think he will be traumatized forever?
Here is a picture of a family I just love. I had BL in my class a few year ago and she remains to be very special to me. (She is the oldest on the left).
This is L who is in my room this year and she also is a wonderful person. I know she will be just like BL above and always be a part of my life. They are all beautiful inside and out!
On our way out of town to see Kylee's basketball game, we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Vickie and her carriage in the Christmas parade down Main Street. After the parade Tayler helped her give carriage rides for the next three hours. This was a big hit and people lined up for a long way to get a chance to have a ride.
Kylee's basketball season has started and they played in a tournament today. Here are the girls ready to introduce the starters.
Kylee listening to the coach during a timeout.
Kylee has all freshman on her team but today they were playing a varsity team. They didn't win, but they scored over 30 points.
Kylee got this rebound and put it up for a bucket. She scored 4 points in today's game.

They ended up getting second place. Not bad for a young team.
Kylee says she doesn't like to play and this will be her last year.
She is really pretty good though, especially on defense.
All smiles after the game.
