After almost 19 years watching our precious, little baby girl grow into a beautiful, talented, independent, and enthusiastic young woman, the time has come to take another big step in our lives.. That's right, we are off to college (ready or not).
No, really we are excited for her. She has been waiting for this a long time and has set herself some pretty awesome goals and we can't wait to see where her path in life will take her. When we arrived on campus we picked upthe dorm key and started moving in right away.
Brian and Tayler did all the work as I was in charge of picture taking. I took a small pocket camera and have decided I will never do that again. The action was all too fast and many pictures are just plain blurry but better than nothing. This is the Rec Center which is right next to the dorm. It is a fantastic facility.
Here is Tayler's dorm which is called "The Tower".
Her home for the next 9 months.
There were a few things we forgot to pack but Tayler and her roommate took care of that. They had their first meal at Wendy's and brought home a few extra eating utensils. Already partners in crime.
The quilt on her bed was made with lots of love. Tayler saw one like it over a year ago and wanted to make it for her dorm. She bought everything she needed and started cutting and a little sewing, then ran into some trouble with it and handed it off to me. I worked on it secretly while she was busy with school and work but wasn't getting too far, so...I passed it on to her Grammie. Whew, once again Grammie bailed us out and got the job done.
A new quilt, a new home, a new adventure and very proud parents.
