Miranda & Santa

Every year, at The Festival of Trees,
I take pictures of kids who come to see Santa.
Last year was Miranda's first visit with him.
This year was a whole different story. Look at this grin.
She talked with Santa....
about her toys in her hands,

and then she thought Santa was silly when he wanted to trade her hats.
He asked her if she was a cowgirl, and she giggled the cutest little giggle.
Watching and sharing this precious little girl is the best gift in the world.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Mud Wars at PHS

This year Kylee was in mudwars but I didn't get any pictures of her, so here is the PHS video.
Kylee is on the black and white striped team that was crowned champions at the end of the night. (To help you spot her, she had her hair in a ponytail).

Round Up's 100th Year

This year was the 100th year for the Pendleton Round up and Miranda, who is now 2 1/2 was in Happy Canyon again this year.
She is here with her "REAL" mom (who plays a man) waiting to go in the tunnel so she can be pulled out of a chest.
Sneaking a kiss.

Maybe not the best picture, but there is something I really like about it.
Miranda hanging out with Millie and her daddy.
Love these boots, they are the ones the girls and I picked out when we found out Vickie was pregnant.
Randy plays the part of a distracted preacher.
Little Miranda after coming out of the chest.
Vickie walking along it the mountains.
Tayler came home for the weekend too. She is the proud owner of a 5 year old dog now.
Her name is Suri and she found her at the Humane Society.
She is part Border Collie, Australian Shepard and Blue Healer.
The family had a baby who turned out to be very allergic to her, so they had to find her a new home. She has been trained very well.
She is a great dog and she makes Tayler very happy.
And I think Tayler makes her very happy.
Kylee tricked Rhett into going with us on a photo shoot in hopes of getting his senior picture.
We found a fun place to go that was quiet and had lots of different looking locations.
Kylee wanted some pictures for her school binder so I took a few pictures of them together.
As much as I like this one...I can't believe how grown up they are looking.

I have been working on a project this month that is slow going.
A friend of mine and I are putting rock on this chimney. It is probably 25 feet high.
We spent most of Round Up week on it and this is how far we are (maybe a third of the way).
It will look pretty impressive when we finish, I think.

Time to Catch Up

Kylee is having a great time taking lessons and riding again.
She is learning how to do flying changes.
This is what she had always wanted to be able to do, so it is exciting to watch her.
Then she rode this guy for Dawn. His name is Marvin. He is huge and still just five years old.
Dawn has been training him and wanted to see how he would do with a different rider. Kylee rode him and he was great. It was good for Kylee to ride a different horse too. She had fun.
It was Spring Break for Tayler so she was home for the week.
We went out to dinner with Grammie and Poppa.  Then we came back to the house for dessert and games.

Then I don't know what happened...but the kids ended up in the kitchen looking like this.

We went Geocaching.

You sign your name on the little notebook to let others know how many others have also found it. Then you put it back for others to find.

Wedding Reception

Had a great time at Tom and Lindsay's wedding reception this weekend.

Three beautiful women inside and out.
Arriving at the Roy Raley room for their wedding reception.
Hey, look at who is driving! GO June!

They had cupcakes and then this cute little cake on top.

Taking a spin earlier in the day.

Lindsay, Miranda, and Tom.

It was a wonderful day and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of it.

I will try to post more pictures later this week (or month).
