Road Trip

The girls and I drove up to Seattle to help mom and dad move from their motel to their apartment. Along the way we HAD to stop for some junk food.
Once we got there, we loaded up everything and used this cart to bring things in.
On the roof there is a garden which has a beautiful view of the city.
This isn't the best picture but it shows what the view is like. Unfortunately the good one of mom and dad turned out blurry. I will try to get another picture on our next visit.
Brian joined us today. He had to wait a day so he could attend his first carnival at his Elementary school. His second grade teacher won the silent auction to through pie in his face. Sure wish I could have pictures of that for you. If anyone shares them, I will be sure to add them to the blog.

I think you can see planes take of and land in the lake. We have seen a few in the sky.

We had a little accident this weekend! Look at dad's cheek. We were parked in the dark parking garage and dad was looking out the window to make sure we were far enough back and I THOUGHT I was closing MY window, but had HIS window instead...I trapped him. It was awful!!! It really hurt and left a terrible mark. This picture doesn't show it very well. The next morning it was a little better, but it left a line about 4-5 inches long. Needless to say, I will never roll up a window again without double checking and warning everyone.

Our first night we stayed in the motel with them. Tayler had fun with Poppa's hat.

Grammie and Kylee snuggled on the couch.

Tayler and Kylee were good entertainment.
They were releasing some of their energy that they stored up on the drive over.

Seattle or Bust

We wanted to send Grammie and Poppa off with their family around them, so we made some signs and put them along the road for them see on their way out of town. The girls and I had fun painting them and then Brian and I got up early and put them out.

Too Much Time On My Hands

Happy Birthday!

Dad and mom came into town and joined us for my birthday dinner at El Charitos. Then we all came back to the house for a yummy peanut butter and chocolate cake mom made.

Must have been it too much of a hurry to get a picture of it.

Both mom and dad wrote words inside my card that I will cherish FOREVER.

Both of my parents are so talented!

This is a quilt my mom made and gave to ME!

Everywhere I look around my house I am surrounded

by their love and talent. Furniture, baskets, quilts, paintings, frames,glass showers, dolls, treasure chests...

Thank you mom and dad for making my house a HOME!

Log Crib

Here is a better picture of the log crib Randy made, which is in the nursery now.

It was nice out so we cleaned some horse tack outside.

It was a lot easier to clean once we draped it over this equipment.

What We Do For Fun

Tayler went to the High School dance.

The theme was "Super Hero's".
She was going as "Tornado Tayler".

Here is Kylee in her last basketball game of the year.

I think she had a really good season.

Anytime she was on the court, she was smiling.
This weekend the girls and I met June

at Vickie's and helped get some stuff done around her place before the baby arrives.

First we had to check out the progress of the stagecoach that Randy MADE.

Tayler got in the passenger area to see how it feels.

June crawled up to the top to help Randy with the leather curtain.

It is really neat. It has a leather button on it to keep it up.

Then Vickie crawled up (30 weeks pregnant) to join June.

They checked out the seat and then Randy adjusted it to fit their legs.

It will be so neat when they get to take it out for the first time.

Randy also made this crib for the baby.

He went down by the river and found logs, then created it from a picture.

One of the things on our list today was to put another finishing coat on the crib. At the end of the day Tayler and Kylee took the horses out for a trail ride.

This was their first real trail ride out on their own.

They said they had a great time!A fun day spent with friends getting ready for a very special baby.

Special Visit From Gorilla Man

The other day Kylee was laying around looking awfully cute. Saturday it snowed about 8 inches in Ptown.

It snowed all day so we stayed in and just watched the big, beautiful flakes fall.
It has been a long time since we had snow like this.


Brian came home from work with a Gorilla suit, so of course we had to have some fun with Kylee.
She was in watching TV by herself, so Gorilla Man peeked in on her and scared her.
It was a ton of fun.


Tayler was gone for the first Gorilla man visit, so tonight we
played the trick on her. I told her a friend was coming over to drop something
off, would she please answer the door when it rang.
Well....Brian was out there in the gorilla suit.
We got her! She screamed and then attacked him.

"Where did you get THAT?" is all she could say.

She didn't like it touching her at ALL.

All I can say is..... THAT WAS FUN!

She was a great sport, I just hope she doesn't get us back.

Pendleton Update

We celebrated Christmas Eve at our house this year. Here we are during photo hour. We all had a great time. Grammie and Poppa came over after having Mick and family for a few days. They were a little tired but they sure didn't show it.

Kylee turned 14! She and her dad were out Christmas shopping and they ran across this remote control car. Well they came home without it, but Brian couldn't stand it. He went back and surprised Kylee for her birthday.

She also got this new headstall. She is very excited about riding still.

She can't wait for show season to start up again. I love to watch her ride at night

with the light on in the arena.

Tayler picked out this jacket (which I see doesn't show) for Christmas, and I made her the scarf.

She loves them both and wears them so well.

I went by Hamley's the other day and snapped these photos so those of you who are not in town could see how nice it is. This is the Restaurant area.
