Catching Up

Well a lot of time has passed since I updated this site. Now that our connection is faster, maybe I can keep up.

BS did a triathalon in The Dalles this weekend. The water was choppy and hard to swim in, but he felt great after completing the race.Last weekend we went out on the boat and the girls learned to knee board. K is celebrating here.
T was even able to wave to us in the boat after she got up.
This is right before B and I tipped over, head first!
B got up on the knee board too. Looks like fun doesn't it?
K helped us throw a surprise party for T on her birthday. Dad took her out driving and we decorated as family came. It was so much fun because she didn't have a clue anything was up.

Relay For Life

This is what the football field looked like during Relay For Life. This is a fund raiser for cancer research. T headed up a group and they took turns walking all night long. This is T and K going strong.

Baby Chick

Here is Kylee holding a baby chick that we hatched at school today.

Kylee goes to outdoor school tomorrow. I think she is going to love it.

Friend Turns 15

We went to Seaside to celebrate LC's birthday. Here are the girls watching the sunset (and a little peeking at the boys on the beach).Here they are screaming as loud as they can.
We went to the hat store and they became our models.
It is low tide and they went looking for seashells.
Then we went bowling.
At the mall, LC and TS decided to get their ears peirced a second time.
Then on the way home, we stopped off at REI and climbed their rock wall.

Easter Egg Hung

The girls got their 4H jackets today. They have waited two years for them, so they are very happy. They are dark green with a navy fleece lining. We hunted for Easter eggs this morning. Last year they found eggs here too, but we hadn't moved in yet.

Here is T with Cecee waiting to enter the ring to do a First Level dressage test of this year. It is pouring down rain and there isn't a place to warm up, so they are just hanging out.

K got the Kariokee machine out and enjoyed singing with her favorite country group.

Girl's 4H Activities

Today is St. Patrick's Day. Here is K right before school.

The last couple of weeks we have been doing a lot of 4H activities. K won a blue ribbon in horse judging. Here T is taking a bonus test during horse judging.
K is judging hay. She got them all right.
These are some of the girls in our 4h club.
The girls were interviewed for the newspaper last weekend. This is one of the pictures I took of them doing thier quadrille.

Well she did it! T got her drivers permit yesterday. Dad got to take her and he enjoyed it very much.

Quadrille Practice

This weekend our friends came over and practiced the quadrille routine with the girls. They are trying to stay side by side and be as close as they can to eachother. Notice how CC, the black horse, has her ears back. She doesn't like the other horses that close. This is what it looks like to the judge in the beginning of the routine. Their show is on the 25th of March. Here they are all making individual 10 meter circles. Looking good!
