Happy Birthday!

Today the girls washed T's car to get it ready for school.
T is ready for school but K isn't really ready. T wanted this ice-cream cake.
Happy 17th birthday.
T opening some of her gifts.
K right there sharing the moment with her sister.
Poppa and Grammie were able to join us for the celebration.
Candy and money. What more can a teenager want?
This is T and her boyfriend.
This is K and her good friend C.
They took a bunch of pictures to decorate their school binder.
Two beautiful girls.

August Fun

Happy Anniversary!

K made it home today after being gone for 10 days.

She went with a friend to Utah on a houseboat.

Hopefully we will get pictures to share with you.

This is one of many beautiful flowers from my mom's garden.

Grammie and Poppa celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary.

T had fun playing with Ollie.

Strolling through the flower garder together.

Visiting on the deck was a lot of fun. One of my favorite flowers.
N's turn to play with the dog.

Today the clouds were beautiful all day long.

I spent a lot of time just watching them.

We are babysitting our friend's dog, Lucy.

T took her out to burn some energy.

County Fair

K spent Friday and Saturday competing in our County Fair. Here they are in the first show of the day, Showmanship.
Then she changed into English. BL came along to help us.
She really likes everything about horses.
K finished the day with Western, which is where she was the most successful.
She won champion in Western Pleasure. Way to go K!
She was having a great day. Hannah (horse) was awesome.
Here they are waiting in line to do the trail course.
Going over the bridge is one of K's favorite obstacles.

Summer Trip to Kauai

We're off to Kauai! Here the girls are on the plane. The first thing we did was attend a Luau.
Then we hit the beach.
Here K is modeling her new dress.
Waiting for dinner to be served. The girls didn't want any of the roasted pig.
Each day we spent time on the beach. Here T is playing in the sand.
Brian and the other two played in the water.
Our room had a nice balcony.
This is the river that we are going to come back to sometime to kayak.
We found a really fun beach where the girls laughed and played in the big waves.
Love the clear water.
Brian is getting ready to go snorkeling.

We took a tour of the sugar plantation and we stopped to feed the goats.
Then we went to enjoy the beach some more.
T and C had fun talking and getting their feet wet.
We also went to see the Pearl Harbor Exhibit.
T on the beach with the "hang loose" sign.
The girls had fun finding small shells.

The girls had so much fun shopping together.
They all bought a few sarongs.
Brian was our personal lifeguard on duty each day at the beach.
Towards the end of our trip we spotted some giant sea turtles.
They were popping up every few minutes. It was really neat to see.
Here are the girls at the airport ready to fly home after a great family trip.
