Miranda Arrives!

Today June and I met at the hospital to help Miranda come into the world.
Everything went just perfect and Miranda arrived on schedule at 7:45 am.

Randy (daddy) holding her after her bath.

Kody (26 years) holding his new baby sister.

Here June is enjoying all Miranda's expressions as she is about 2 hours old.
Holding Kylee's finger.

Vickie had roses for all the women that came to visit today.
Miranda's name and birth date was on the ribbon. Neat idea, huh?

Gotta love these little feet.

Kylee had a long day at school waiting to come visit.
We sent a picture text to a friend in the office and she was
able to share it with Kylee.
Tayler didn't have to work after school either, so she was able to come hold Miranda too.
She was a little nervous about holding her because she seems so small, but once she had her in her arms, they were both very content.

Mule Baby

Wednesday was my friends first day home from work before she has her baby and at lunch time, SURPRISE, her large draft horse had HER baby! Yes, she is a Molly mule. The girls and I met June after work and did a little imprinting.
Vickie was very happy with her and said she is "just what she wanted".
She couldn't believe that her horse beat her though (having a baby).
One more day and Vickie will have Miranda.

This is Vickie's first time to touch her. Baby seems to like being scratched.

Tayler held the Momma while we worked with the baby.

What a neat experience! She seems to be a very gentle and curious baby.
I can 't wait to see what the future brings.

Nails

I forgot to take a picture of Tayler's nails until today.
They looked really nice .
Look at her ring finger for the special dazzling jewel.

Prom

We had so much fun today getting ready for Prom.
We took all afternoon and just pampered ourselves and then
I helped the girls with their makeup and their hair.
This is Jessie, Ellie, and Tayler. What fun, good girls.

With everyone ready and the guys getting close to arriving,
we took time to practice putting on th boutonnières.
Beautiful and ready for a night of fun.

This is Tayler with her date, Andrew.
Brian was very helpful in the kitchen getting dinner ready.
He cooked and sliced the pizza, cut the cheesecake and a lot more.

We had four couples and a friend meeting for dinner at our house and then pictures.
Andrew (Tayler's date), Billy (Sarah's date), Harper (Ellie's date), and Charlie (Jessie's date).

Jessie, Tayler, Ellie, Sarah, and Stewphanie.
Wow! What a fun group.
They laughed all through dinner as Brian and I hid out in the back room.
Kylee kept popping into the kitchen to steal a little dinner.

Got Gas?

Oooops....Tayler thought she could make it to the gas station this morning but.....oh shoot as soon as she got on the highway her car quit. Meanwhile I was taking Kylee to school because she missed the bus. After work and school Tayler and I went and filled up her car and got it moving again. Tayler was a great sport and we enjoyed the laugh together.

Icebreaker 2008

Saturday Kylee, June and I went over to Walla Walla
for the Dressage Icebreaker Show. The day started out cold but turned out not to be too bad.
Both June and Kylee signed up to do a dressage test. This was a neat show to go to because after the test the judge gave you a mini lesson and then let you take the test again.
Kylee went first. She did great for a "pleasure horse".

June road Cecee for her test. They were both very nervous and had a rough start but worked through it.
In the afternoon, they competed in a Pas de deux which is when two people ride a pattern together doing mirror images and then riding as pairs to music. It was a lot of fun as always. June made the Pendleton Wool pads out of a blanket I won many years ago.

We had a good day with friends doing what we love to do.

Here are the real riders. June, Kylee, and Vickie (who is due in 3 weeks with Miranda).
We plan on coming again next year. I will babysit and hopefully we will be able to put together a quadrille again.
Kylee and Hannah happy at the end of the day. They make a great pair.
